Ruff Housing to open new spot in Winston-Salem
Ruff Housing Dog Daycare Co. will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. May 19 for its newest location at 5648 Country Club Road, near the intersection of Meadowlark Drive in Winston-Salem.
Guests of honor for the invitation-only event include Mayor Allen Joines and Gayle Anderson, president of the Greater Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce.
Ruff Housing provides day care, lodging, grooming and certified obedience training in 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor play space. The new building contains 66 individual sleeping areas and 14 private penthouse suites, each of which comes with its own flat-screen TV. Four indoor playrooms for dogs of all sizes, a grooming room, and reception and food preparation areas also are available, while a 10,000-square-foot outdoor play yard is covered in high-quality K-9 artificial turf for dogs of all sizes.
"We wanted a place that would offer the best of everything," says co-owner Kim Vaughn. "Ultimately, our goal was to make this a safe and happy place for the dogs."
Ruff Housing also will host a grand opening celebration for the community from 1-4 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call (336) 765-7833, or visit www.ruffhousing.com.
